**As of January 13th, 2026, bids were cancelled. No definite date for the rebid.** For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days - The site is currently available, the Contractor may commence work any time after receipt of the signed contract, receipt of the Notice to Proceed, and weather and specifications permitting. Working Days will begin to be charged whenever the Contractor starts work. The Contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment for the bid within 40 Working Days for all non-playing field areas. Working days will begin on February 04, 2026, if the Contractor has not started work prior to this date. Work located within playingfield areas must be completed before March 25, 2026 and the field must be useable for play. Should Alternate 2 - Task 4 be accepted and contracted, an additional 10 working days will be added to the contract and can be used for that task, if needed. All other work shall be completed within 40 working days. No additional working days shall be added for other alternates should they be accepted and contracted. Question Deadline 12/12/2025 at 10:00 AM CT Liquidated Damages - Liquidated damages shall be $5,000.00 per day. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. There will be a Mandatory pre-bid meeting on-site. All bidding contractors are required to attend the meeting.
