Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Hinsdale, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a 12,600-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project to include an Athletic Training Facility Addition (Approximately 12,600 SF) and all related accommodations including but not limited to: demolition of portion(s) of existing building; complete design and construction of new building; all MEPFPIT systems with integration into existing; and required site work. a. Demolition i. Demolish all site/building items as required to provide for new work. Items to be demolished (but not limited to): 1. See concept plan and existing drawings for context, but not exact requirements. The contractor is responsible for all coordination of demolition and reconstruction of all existing items affected by new work. ii. Locate all existing utilities. Connect to existing as required for new work. Any abandoned utilities to be fully removed. b. New Construction: i. Approximately 14,000 SF Athletic Training Facility Addition, including the renovation of the existing training facility known as the Bouchard Center and all associated site work: 1. Building Program (Square footages are approximates): a. 8000 SF Weight Room b. 650 SF Team Room c. 140 SF Storage Room d. 1500 SF Training Room with Wet areas. Isolate hydrotherapy and wet areas with curb or partial/full wall and provide floor drain. Area to remain accessible. e. Water Station. Adjacent Hydrotherapy. f. 300 SF Coaches Office g. 150 SF Office h. 2-3 Accessible Toilet Rooms (adjacent and accessible to exterior) i. 375 SF Small Team Room j. 220 SF Lockable Storage k. Mechanical l. Circulation/Egress from existing building. 2. Future Addition Alternate: Provide a concept that would allow for a 2nd story to be added as a future construction project. Include line-item cost relative to the increased structural capacity design. Account for circulation implications of a future 2nd floor addition and extension of all building systems. 3. Structural System: a. Option 1: CMU Bearing Wall with Brick Veneer Cavity Wall and Steel roof Framing. b. Option 2: Steel Framed Structure with Glass and Curtain wall . The facade can be a combination of solid wall, glass and glazing. c. Alternate: Provide cost information and feasibility for the structural system to accommodate future 2nd story. 4.
