Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grayslake, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Center Street in Grayslake at Atkinson Road extending to US45 in the village of Grayslake A modernization improvement addressing safety and operations along Center Street at its intersection with Atkinson Road and extending east to US45, including intersection reconstruction and non-motorized travel improvements, potentially extending a shared use path east. The project is included in the County's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of December 1, 2025, project is in Phase 1 Planning. The Lake County Division of Transportation is currently working to finalize a contract with an engineering consulting firm to perform preliminary engineering activities (Phase I), anticipated 3rd Quarter 2025. After the contract has been executed, data collection will begin including topographic survey, traffic study, and a crash analysis to shape the nature and scope of the improvements. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
