The Board of Trustees of the Kress ISD is requesting competitive sealed proposals to hire a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for construction and renovation of various school facilities (the 2025 Bond Projects). Interested parties may obtain a proposal packet and information by contacting Leah Zeigler, Superintendent at (806) 684-2652 or leah.zeigler@kressonline.net. Please submit one printed original set of proposal documents, three printed copies of the proposal documents, and one electronic copy on a USB flash drive. Sealed proposals must be mailed or hand delivered to: Kress ISD ATTN: Leah Zeigler, Superintendent 200 E. 5th Kress, TX 79052. All proposals must be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope, annotated with: Proposal for Construction Manager at Risk Kress ISD 2025 Bond Projects RFP No. 2025-02. Failure to have a proposal submitted to the school district by the above deadline will result in the proposal not being considered; submissions by any other means than specified above will not be considered. Proposals will be opened and read aloud upon the deadline and at the address provided. The selection of the CMAR will be by the one-step method in accordance with Texas Education Code 44.031(a)(5) and Texas Government Code Chapter 2269, Subchapter F. The district reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities or informalities as may be deemed in the district's best interest. By tendering a proposal, the CMAR acknowledges that it has read and fully understands the requirements for submitting a proposal and the process used by the district for selecting a CMAR, and freely, voluntarily, and understandingly waives and releases any and all claims against the district and its trustees, officers, agents, and/or employees that could arise out of the administration, evaluation, recommendation, or selection of any proposal submitted in response to the district's RFP.
