Site work and paving for a road / highway in Zion, Illinois. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Improvements at the intersection of Kenosha Road at 21st St in Beach Park and Zion. The new intersection will be constructed as a single lane roundabout and will include pedestrian accommodations within the project limits. The project is included in the County's 2025-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). As of October 31, 2025, the Final Public meeting has taken place and design engineering has begun. Construction is estimated to start in the spring of 2027. Targeted construction letting date in 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
