Description

Site work and paving for a civil project in Honolulu, Hawaii. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Plans to realign Honoapiilani Highway from Milepost 11.1 to Milepost 16.72, on the island of Maui. The Project will include, but is not limited to, two (2) travel lanes, bridges, culverts, shoulders, medians, signage, pavement markings, concrete/asphalt paving, low-impact design Permanent Best Management Practices (BMPs), roadway drainage, roadway lighting and traffic signal systems. The project is intended to reduce the highway's exposure to shoreline erosion which is anticipated to continually increase due to coastal erosion. TIMEILNE: As of September 21, 2026, a design/build firm has been selected. Construction is anticipated to start in 2028.
