Remodeling of an educational facility in Stockton, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 15,000-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
Remove and properly dispose of all 12 x 12 tile flooring on the 1st floor of George Lincoln Mosher Elementary School. Verify total area before starting; estimated at approximately 15,000 square feet of flooring and baseboards. Ensure minimal damage to underlying concrete during tile removal. Provide dumpster and dispose of all tile, adhesive, and debris in accordance with local waste regulations. Clean concrete surface to remove adhesive and contaminants. Grind surface imperfections to achieve a smooth, level finish. Use a dust collection system to minimize airborne particulates. Perform patching or repairs as needed to ensure a uniform surface. Power scrub and/or wet mop entire surface to remove all dust. Apply commercial-grade densifier following manufacturer’s recommendations. Apply district-approved color/stain, ensuring uniform coverage without blotches or streaks. Polish concrete to a semi-gloss finish using a multi-step polishing system. Apply compatible sealant or guard to protect the surface and enhance durability. Finished floor must be smooth, uniform, slip-resistant, and free of defects or haze. Install new black rubber baseboards. Perform final cleaning of walls, ceilings, windows, and doors. Include asbestos removal/abatement as required.
