Site work for a development in Ocala, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a conservation development.
Professional engineering services will be required on a continuing basis for the District’s public improvements authorized by Chapter 190, Florida Statutes. The selected engineering firm will act as District Engineer and provide required District engineering services. Applicants must hold applicable federal, state and local licenses, be authorized to do business in Florida, and submit a Qualification Statement detailing qualifications, past experience, and supporting data using U.S. General Service Administrations Architect-Engineer Qualifications, Standard Form No. 330. Applicants must provide information on the ability and adequacy of personnel, certification as a minority business enterprise, willingness to meet time and budget requirements, past experience and performance (including experience as a District Engineer and with Marion County), geographic location of headquarters and offices, current and projected workloads, and volume of work previously awarded by the District. Applicants must also identify the individual who would handle District meetings, construction services, and other engineering tasks. Applicants interested must submit one hard copy and one electronic copy of Standard Form No. 330 and Qualification Statement by the specified time to the attention of George Flint at the District Managers Office. The Board will select and rank Applicants according to relevant statutory requirements and evaluation criteria on file, commencing contract negotiations with the highest ranked Applicant. If terms are not reached, negotiations proceed in order of rank. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Qualification Statements, and will not reimburse Applicants for expenses related to submission preparation. Protests regarding the terms of the notice or evaluation criteria must follow the outlined written protest procedure including required timelines and a protest bond.
