The purpose of this Contract is for the Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to: Install a new underground fire water loop to serve fire sprinkler systems and fire hydrants throughout Fire Marshal's campus. This includes the installation of new fire hydrants to comply with 500' fire hydrant spacing as well as providing hydrants for use in firefighter training operations. Existing sprinkler and hydrant systems are to be tied into new loop after commissioning. Sprinkler systems are to remain operational until fire water loop is commissioned. Fire water supply for the new loop will include the installation of NFPA 22 compliant above ground bolted steel fire water storage tank and a NFPA compliant prepackaged pump house. Fire water storage tank installation will require domestic water line to fill tank, a structural slab, and associated electrical equipment to monitor tank and prevent freezing. Fire pump house installation will require a supply line from fire water storage tank and to the fire water loop, a structural slab, and associated electrical equipment for power and pump monitoring. There will also be a new electrical service provided to support loads from the new fire pump house and associated equipment as well as a new generator to provide emergency power.
