Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Hertford, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of replacing the culvert crossing of Jennies Gut under Hyde Park Street as part of the Towns Phase 1 stormwater improvements. Separate sealed formal bids are being solicited for the Phase 1 Culvert Hyde Park Street. Bids must be either mailed or couriered in hardcopy format. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but not mandatory. Bidding documents are available for download with instructions provided on how to access and purchase them. All questions relating to the bid must be submitted in writing before the specified deadline. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount. Bidders must provide evidence of proper licensure per North Carolina General Statutes and submit affidavits of good faith efforts to recruit minority, women, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, taking quality, performance, and time into account.
