Scope of Work includes the construction of paving facilities in Beacon Point at Lago Mar Sec 5 for Galveston County Municipal Utility District No. 57, City of Texas City, Texas. Bidders desiring further information or further interpretation of any part of the Contract Documents are hereby obligated to submit a written request online system for such information to Engineer not less than seven (7) calendar days before the Bid opening. Instructions to bidders: - Sealed electronic bids are required and must be submitted through www.CivcastUSA.com, with bidders registering on the website to view/download documents and submit bids and bid securities. - Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check acceptable to the owner in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will execute the contract and provide required bonds and insurance certificates within seven days after receipt of contract documents. - If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the original must be delivered at the bid opening address within one business day of receipt of the bid opening. - The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all defects and irregularities except the time for submitting a bid. The successful bidder will be the one judged most advantageous and economical for the District. - By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees that contract documents may be executed using an electronic signature in accordance with the owner's rules for construction contracts. - Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code may apply, and contract documents can be terminated if the bidder fails to comply with this requirement.
