Renovation of an educational facility in Paducah, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 51,327-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.

The work is a renovation of the Allied Health Building on the West Kentucky CTC campus to add an X-Ray imaging machine. The scope includes general demolition of an existing photography dark room and the removal of the door, with the door required to be a lead-lined door. The X-ray equipment itself has already been purchased by the owner. Bids are to be received from Prime Contractors on a Lump Sum Bid Basis for the total project, with all phases of the work to be bid to and through the Prime Contracting Firms. Bidders are required to submit qualifications, a list of unit prices, a list of proposed subcontractors, and a list of materials with their bid. All bidding documents, correspondence, and project-related submissions must be managed through the Owner's web-based Document Collaboration System. Demolition/renovation activities must comply with Kentucky Division of Air Pollution Control Regulation 401 KAR 57:011, including written notification to the Division of Air Pollution Control at least ten days before the project start. Tobacco use and e-cigarettes are prohibited on site. Equal Employment Opportunity Act requirements must be met for projects over $500,000. Bids must include a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the lump sum base bid, and the successful bidder must provide a 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond. Additional requirements include registration in good standing with the Kentucky Secretary of State and, for foreign entities, submission of a certificate of authority. The Kentucky Community & Technical College System reserves the right to reject all bids and waive informalities or technicalities in the best interest of the Commonwealth.
