The scope of work includes providing all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation services required to complete tasks on the surface property of the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF). Services are to be provided on an on-call, as-needed basis and include, but are not limited to: general construction services (building repair or improvement, fence repair, installations, and other basic upkeep), excavation services (roadway repairs, aggregate removal and delivery, digging associated with underground utilities, concrete repair and installation, storm water lab repair, rip rap laydown), and snow removal/haul onsite (various parking lots and roadways, required only during large storms when SDSTA staff need additional help). Bidders must: detail their capabilities to perform the duties described in the scope of work, including past similar projects, equipment availability, and personnel; complete the SDSTA Rate Sheet; provide information on safety practices, procedures, and safety record; and complete the ESH Questionnaire. Bidders are encouraged to add any labor categories or equipment needed to complete tasks after visiting the SURF property. The contract will be awarded using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) selection process based on criteria in the Rate Sheet. The proposed schedule for this project is negotiable and flexible to accommodate the "as needed and on call" availability. The proposed contract duration would be three years.
