Routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the overhead doors at Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, SD. The contractor will conduct annual inspections on the surface site at a fixed rate, with scheduled repairs and on-call reactive services performed on a time and materials basis. The contractor is required to provide skilled support for preventive maintenance inspections, scheduled repairs, and reactive services on electrical or manually operated roll-up doors. The annual inspection of 44 doors will be conducted over two full days, with an on-site guide. The contractor must supply all supervision, labor, materials, expendable equipment, utility, and transportation services, along with documenting maintenance reports and repairs. Compliance with all Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) requirements and completion of relevant SDSTA safety training, including fall protection, are mandatory. Instructions to bidders include pre-registration for a site visit via email, completion of required safety training prior to the visit, and understanding that only some doors and locations can be visited during the allotted time for the site visit.
