Remodeling of a detention facility in Beaumont, Virginia. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade detention facility.

Clean and epoxy eight (8) bathrooms at Beaumont Correctional Center, 3500 Beaumont Road, Beaumont, VA 23014. PURPOSE The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract with a qualified vendor to provide services to clean, prep and epoxy the walls and floor of eight (8) shower pods. Eight (8) Shower Pods to be prepped, cleaned and replaced with a resinous epoxy coating. Repair any damage such as cracks or gouges and mechanically profile the surface by sanding or grinding. Flooring to have anti-skid properties. Total square footage of the floor per shower pod is 65ft with 30 linear feet of integral epoxy spoon cove. Total square footage of walls per shower pod is approximately 226.5 sq. ft. Shower Pods: A. Wall / Floor coatings will be completely removed down to bare cinder block through diamond grinding. Floors/Walls will be skimmed (x2) to hide grout lines and imperfections. B. Floor system to be 3/16" urethan mortar slurry and polyaspartic urethane topcoat. C. Steps of resinous epoxy floor systems: (Flooring to have anti-skid properties) 1. Mechanical prep through diamond grinding. 2. Patch and fill using 100% solids epoxy and urethane slurry. 3. Install 1st body coat with urethane mortar slurry. 4. Install 2nd body coat with 100% solids epoxy. 5. Install polyaspartic urethane topcoat. D. Steps of resinous epoxy wall system: 1. Mechanical prep through diamond grinding. 2. Patch and fill using 100% solids epoxy and urethane slurry. 3. Install 1stskim coat using 100% solids epoxy. 4. Install 2ndskim coat using 100% solids epoxy. 5. Install 1st body coat using erosion resistant epoxy. 6. Install 2nd body coat using erosion resistant epoxy. 7. Install polyaspartic urethane topcoat.
