**As of November 12, 2025, the project was awarded to Bridgeman Civil Inc. but the awarded amount is not available.** July 24, 2025, ruptured 36" Ductile Iron (DI) transmission main emergency repair requested on West Military Highway near the Hampton Roads Airport. This significant leak posed an immediate public health and safety risk, necessitating urgent action. The repair required excavation, using large, specialized equipment the City does not possess. Given the critical nature of the leak and its location, this work could not be delayed for scheduling All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the City of Chesapeake Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person. M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process.
