Preventative and service maintenance is required for kitchen equipment across three VA facilities: Perry Point VA Medical Center, Baltimore VA Medical Center, and Loch Raven VA Community Living & Rehabilitation Center. The contractor shall provide appliance technicians, refrigeration mechanics, and laborers/apprentices to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a wide range of food service equipment including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, dishwashers, food processors, beverage machines, and more. Tasks include cleaning, calibration, parts replacement, inspection, and documentation of services. Maintenance activities must comply with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) standards and OSHA safety regulations. Monthly service visits are required, with emergency service available as needed. The contractor must supply all necessary tools and equipment, maintain detailed service records, and coordinate work schedules with facility representatives. Specific maintenance protocols are outlined for each equipment type, including refrigeration systems, cooking appliances, ware washers, and beverage machines. Compliance with hazardous material handling, safety, and reporting procedures is mandatory.
