Renovation of an educational facility in Westminster, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Fire Alarm Upgrades. The Windham Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking Bids for the Fire Alarm Upgrades at the Bellows Falls High School, the Saxtons River Elementary School and the Central Elementary School. The outline of the work is provided below: Work to be conducted during off hours from the normal school calendar and regular hours. It is the Owner's desire to commence the work immediately after awarding the contract. The Owner will participate in creating the schedule of the work with the selected contractor. Work shall be conducted with a minimum amount of disruption to the daily activities. Bidder will be responsible for all work required, as a single source, including any cut and patch, coring, drilling, fire sealant and any other trades required, including daily cleanup. Temporary shutdowns will only be conducted after hours or on days when school is out and there are minimal occupants within the building. Fire alarm systems will be returned to duty at the end of each work period to accommodate occupancy during normal operating hours. The project requires a schedule of values to be provided after the initial contract award is made. A full set of bid documents as provided by ME Engineering will be made available upon request to Steve Horton at stevnhorton@gmail.com. The Owner will not be responsible for any issues that arise due to bidders' unfamiliarity with the buildings. Bidders will be expected to be responsible for all building structural and existing conditions. This project will use WNESU Capital funds. All activities related to this project will comply with the requirements of these funding sources. Respondents will be required to provide proof of insurance including General Liability coverage of a minimum $1,000,000/$2,000,000 and Statutory Workmen's Compensation. The successful bidder shall enter into an agreement with the Owner using an AIA 101-2017 Edition and an AIA 20-2017 Edition Contract Form. Payment terms will include 10% retainage, net 30 days.
