The Westminster School Board is seeking Proposals for Bathroom Renovations per plans and specifications provided Executive Summary Westminster Center School is seeking bids to fully renovate and modernize the existing boys' and girls' bathrooms located in the lower primary wing. Originally constructed in the 1950s, these facilities will be updated to reflect current accessibility, privacy, and safety standards The new layout will transition the traditional multi-stall restrooms into inclusive, individual non-gender single-stall bathrooms paired with a shared communal wash area. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all demolition, removal of existing fixtures/materials, and complete installation of the new facility layout. Scope & General Requirements Work Hours: All work inside the bathroom may be conducted during normal working hours. High-disruption tasks-such as concrete saw cutting or removal-must be performed after regular school hours, on weekends, or on holidays. Work will be conducted with a minimum amount of disruption to daily activities This includes cut and patch, coring, drilling, fire sealant, daily cleanup, and all associated trades. Utilities & Life Safety: Temporary utility shutdowns will occur only after hours or on non-occupancy days. Fire alarm systems must be fully restored to duty at the end of each work period to accommodate normal occupancy. The contractor is required to ensure that the fire safety system within the renovated bathroom space is upgraded to meet current fire safety codes, fully integrated into the existing main panel, and fully operational upon project delivery. Drawings & Specifications Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, payable to the Westminster School District.
