The City of Redlands (City) acquired an abandoned commercial building for the purpose of demolishing for new construction. The proposed project consists of the construction of a new City of Redlands Police Department Safety Hall Facility (Facility). The proposed project is planned on an existing 8-acre property that is currently occupied by an abandoned Kmart shopping center, including paved parking and driveways. The proposed Facility will be one-story above grade, with the lowest floor at or near the existing site elevations (no basements are planned). The City is requesting professional environmental services to perform a comprehensive predemolition hazardous materials assessment and related abatement reporting for the existing approximately building, located at 1625 W. Redlands Blvd, Redlands, CA 92373. The purpose of this work is to identify and document all regulated materials prior to demolition and to provide clearance and monitoring services during and after abatement activities.
