SCOPE OF PROJECT The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing the following: 5,400 feet of 12-inch water main including fittings, hydrants, valves, and water services. Bore & Jack of 130 feet of 24-inch x 0.375" W.T. steel casing. Contractor must furnish adequate material, equipment, labor, and supervision to complete the specified work, which also includes testing, inspection, and placing the system in operation. Including all necessary traffic control, appurtenances, and restoration. EXAMINATION OF SPECIFICATIONS Contract documents may be examined online or at the offices of: Prein&Newhof, 3355 Evergreen Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 And some local plan rooms. DEPOSIT FOR DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS Drawings and specifications are available online or at the 3355 Evergreen Drive NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 office of Prein&Newhof after 5:00 PM, Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible/available only to those Bidders who are active members of the Prein&Newhof Plan Room. FUNDING The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for with Plainfield Charter Township local funds. All contract payments will be made by Plainfield Charter Township. Federal wages do not apply to this contract. BID SURETY A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to Plainfield Charter Township in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the receipt of bids. Substantial completion must be reached no later than August 29, 2026. Final completion-September 19, 2026
