Site work for a water / sewer project in Crescent City, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
As of January 07, 2026 Project has not been awarded. No definite date for award Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals, and taxes to construct approximately 2,080 linear feet of 8" gravity sewer, sewer laterals, water services, and associated restoration activities. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. To be considered qualified, the bidder must be licensed to engage in the business of contracting in the State of Florida by the Construction Industry Licensing Board and must have successfully completed, as prime contractor, a minimum of 3 projects of a similar nature within the past 5 years, each having a minimum contract value of $100,000, with at least one project having a contract value in excess of $250,000. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The Work includes an Electrical and Permitting Allowance. A. Permitting Allowance: The funds within the allowance will reimburse the Contractor for permitting fees such as building permit, electrical permit, fence permit, NPDES permit, etc. A collection/transmission system consisting of 1040 LF of 8" PVC gravity sewer and three manholes, and the required appurtenances to serve 17 single family homes. The proposed average daily flow associated with this project is 4,100 gpd. Prior to commencing the Work, the Contractor shall have a continuous audio-video recording of the Project to serve as a record of preconstruction conditions. The Contract and design intent is to protect all trees within the project area. No tree may be removed or pruned without the City Manager's approval. A. The scope of work includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation and services necessary for, and incidental to performing all operations in connection with protection of existing trees and other plants as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. 1. Provide tree and plant protection fencing. 2. Provide protection of root zones and above ground tree and plants. 3. Provide pruning of existing trees and plants, if required and authorized. 4. Remove tree protection fencing and other protection from around and under trees and plants. 5. Clean up and disposal of all excess and surplus material. A. The soil boring logs contained in the Geotechnical Report are provided for the Contractor's information only. The logs are only intended to provide a general indication of the soils at the site and may vary away from the boring location. The Contractor shall satisfy himself as to the character and amount of different soil materials, groundwater, and subsurface conditions to be encountered in the work to be performed. Subsurface information included in these specifications is the result of borings made at the exact locations shown only. While the borings show the subsurface conditions at their respective locations, local variations in soils and groundwater conditions will be encountered. B. It is to be expressly understood that the Owner or Engineer will not be responsible for any interpretation or conclusion drawn therefrom. A. The General Requirements are made a part of this section as fully as if repeated herein. B. Work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Site clearing. 2. Stripping and removal or stockpiling topsoil. 3. Grubbing and removal of vegetation within site boundaries or within limits shown on drawings. 4. Tree removal within building and paving limits and as indicated. 5. Protection of existing trees to remain. 6. Protection of streets, roads, adjacent property, and other facilities to remain. 7. Disposal of all cleared materials. 8. Disposal of all grubbed materials. A. Scope of Work: All labor, materials, and equipment to complete the earthwork. Includes but is not limited to: 1. Compaction of on-site material. 2. Grading and reshaping site. 3. Importing and compacting fill as required. 4. Compaction of material beneath building and paving. 5. Removal of unsuitable material. 6. Excavation and construction of drainage ditch. 7. Utility Trench Earthwork. B. Supervision and Testing: All work specified herein shall be under the supervision of a Soils Engineer. The Contractor shall pay for all testing specified in this Section of the Specifications. C. Field Engineering: The Owner has established lot lines and benchmark datum. The Contractor shall employ and pay for the services of a licensed surveyor who shall make all required surveys for establishing all points, lines, grades, and levels, and otherwise fully and completely lay out all the work required by the Contract. D. Unusual Conditions: Should any unusual conditions arise, the Engineer shall be contacted for instructions prior to continuation of earthwork operations. A. Provide a competent field services technician to supervise installation, adjustment, initial operation and testing, performance testing, final acceptance testing, and start-up of the equipment. B. Perform specified equipment field performance tests, final acceptance tests and start-up services.
