Site work, environmental remediation and renovation of an educational facility in Southfield, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and educational facility.

The second project for abatement at Southfield High School for The Arts & Technology includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos thermal system insulation materials, including all asbestos straight pipe insulation with associated pipe fittings, all asbestos pipe fitting insulation on fiberglass lines, all flooring materials, including all asbestos floor tile, all asbestos floor tile mastic, all non-asbestos floor tile mastic, all non-asbestos carpet, all nonasbestos lay-in ceiling tiles, all non-asbestos ceiling tile grid with associated supports, all asbestos trowelled-on plaster ceilings, non-acm casework, lab countertops, interior door frames with asbestos caulk, tagged fire doors and tagged fire door frames identified throughout renovation areas. This project will include, but is not limited to, Phase B and Phase C renovation areas. These projects at Southfield High School for The Arts & Technology will involve multiple negative pressure enclosuresto remove the asbestos materials using ClassI and ClassIIremoval procedures. The project will begin on Monday, January 12, 2026, and will be complete with all abatement activities and ready for TEM clearance sampling by the end of the day on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The project schedule allows for a total of twelve (12) work days (Monday-Saturday, Monday-Saturday) to complete the project, with additional time allotted for tear down activities. Asbestos Abatement Prior to Renovations at Southfield High School for The Arts & Technology. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond executed by a Michigan-based Surety Company, or a cashier's check in the amount of at least 5% of the sum of the proposal payable to the Owner and send to the following no later than the closing date and time. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a U.S. Treasury Listed Company Performance Bond for bids in excess of $50,000 in the amount of 25% of their bid. The cost of the bond shall be included in each proposal. The District shall require he successful bidder to furnish a Payment Bond for bids in excess of $50,000 in the amount of 25% of their bid. The cost of the bond shall be included in each proposal.
