Southern Illinois Airport Authority will receive bids for construction of a building addition to the existing Hangar 9 building. The building addition includes all associated civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work as indicated on the drawings and as specified. Bidding documents will be available for digital download, at no cost, for bidders by access provided by the architect. All bidders may obtain an individual electronic CD-ROM (which includes drawings and project manual in PDF format) from the office of the architect by paying a $25.00 non-refundable deposit per CD made payable to the architect. Bidders will be required to provide bid security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid price. The statutes of the State of Illinois require not less than the prevailing rate of per-diem, legal holidays, and overtime wages in the locality where the work is to be performed, to be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics employed in the execution of the contract and all other statutes of the State of Illinois, and requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) as applicable. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the owner.
