A Bid shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked with the Project title (and , if applicable, the designated portion of the Project for which the Bid is submitted), the name and address of Bidder, and shall be accompanied by the Bid security and other required documents. If a Bid is sent by United States mail or other delivery service, the delivery envelope containing the sealed bid shall be clearly addressed as follows: THE BIDS PROJECT: Unit Substation Replacement - Phase 2 at Gurnee, Waukegan, and Clavey Road Water Reclamation Facilities North Shore Water Reclamation District PO Box 750, 14770 W. Wm. Koepsel Drive Gurnee, IL 60031 Unit Substation Replacement - Phase 2 at Gurnee, Waukegan, and Clavey Road Water Reclamation Facilities. The work generally consists of replacement of the following unit substations and associated electrical at the following facilities. Gurnee Water Reclamation Facility 1. Replacement of Unit Substation USS-4 with medium-voltage switchgear, pad mounted transformers, and 480 volt draw-out switchgear. 2. Replacement of 7,500 kVA transformer for incoming service to the facility. 3. Removal of pad mounted medium-voltage switch 200-PMS-1, 200-PMS-2, and 200-PMS-3. 4. Site civil modifications to facilitate removal of unit substations and installation of outdoor medium-voltage switchgear and pad mounted transformers. 5. Coordination with Phase 1 contractor on use of raceway systems installed in that project for Phase 2 work. Waukegan Water Reclamation Facility 1. Replacement of Unit Substations USS-5, USS-6, USS-7, and USS-8 with medium-voltage switchgear, pad mounted transformers, and 480 volt draw-out switchgear. 2. Removal of (4) automatic transfer switches. 3. Site civil modifications to facilitate removal of unit substations and installation of outdoor medium-voltage switchgear and pad mounted transformers. 4. Waukegan Building 160 - The following work is included. a. Replacement of (1) pad mounted transformer with new. Relocation of (1) pad mounted transformer. b. Replacement of medium-voltage switchgear. c. Replacement of (3) 5 kV motors with 480 volt motors for the Effluent Pumps. d. Replacement of (5) valve actuators for the Effluent Pumps. e. Construction of a building addition that will house 480 volt draw-out switchgear, 480 volt motor control centers, 500 HP VFDs, and cooling units. f. Addition of a Remote PLC I/O Panel. Clavey Road Water Reclamation Facility 1. Replacement of Unit Substation USS-2 with medium-voltage switchgear and pad mounted transformer. 2.
