As of January 13, 2026, this project has been awarded. Wilkinsburg Borough is accepting bids for the Wood Street Demolition Project, which consists of the demolition of 1104, 1108, 1110, and 1120 Wood St., Wilkinsburg, PA 15221. Bid specifications are available on www.wilkinsburgpa.gov or by contacting the Code Department. Proposals are due by 1:00 p.m. Bids must be enclosed in two envelopes (outer and inner), both sealed and clearly labeled "Wilkinsburg Wood Street Demolition Project." Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, Title VI and other applicable provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Clause (41 CFR 60-1.4), Executive Order 11625 (Utilization of Minority Business Enterprise), Executive Order 12138 (Utilization of Female Business Enterprise), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program and Ordinance #6867-12, setting forth goals of 13 percent Minority, 2 percent Female, and 5 percent Veteran Owned Small Businesses.
