Work Description: The FY26 Street Resurfacing Project bid encompasses all aspects necessary for the project's completion, including but not limited to all labor, materials, and incidental items. The project work includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as the milling and removal of existing pavement, installation of new asphalt pavement, construction and reconstruction and reconfiguring of driveways, curb and gutter, sidewalk and retaining curbs for curb ramps to meet ADA standards, application of pavement markings, implementation of traffic control measures, grading, patch work, landscaping, site cleanup, and any required adjustments or modifications to utilities and infrastructure along the project route. All work shall be in accordance with the specifications, the applicable drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract Deadline for question submittal will be October 15, 2025, at 5:00 pm. All questions should be submitting in writing by email to Asa Utterback at autterback@fuquay-varina.org and will be addressed via an addendum. Final addendum will be posted to the Town website and IPS by 5:00 pm on October 16, 2025. Bidders shall monitor the Town website and IPS website for any addendums that may be posted on or prior to October 16, 2025. pre-bid desp- Attendance is optional but encouraged. A link is provided below for remote virtual participation via Microsoft Teams. The Town will not be responsible for any problems which may occur with the function of individual connections to the Teams meeting. The subjects covered and information provided in the pre-bid meeting will be summarized in an addendum to be issued by the final addendum date stated herein. Bid Security is required. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each valued at 100% of the contract price, will be required. Surety certification must confirm compliance with North Carolina licensing requirements.
