Site work for a mixed-use development in Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.

Fence Replacement - DLMS / WPS. This project includes the demolition and removal of an existing playground fence and installation of both 8' and 4' fencing, along with access gates. 1. Demolish and remove existing chain link fence including any entangled vines and other organic matter. Existing fence is approx. 433LF of 8' galvanized chain link fence, 216LF of 4' galvanized chain link fence and (1) Double drive gate approx. 14' in width and 4' in height 2. Remove all existing concrete footings and haul to proper disposal site 3. Cut and clear any brush within 5' from edge of existing blacktop 4. Excavate and remove all stumps greater than 1.5" within 5' of blacktop edge. All stumps to be hauled away to proper disposal site 5. Supply and deliver soil to fill any holes created by excavation and demolition process to return to grade 6. Install 433LF of 8' Black PVC coated chain link fence. See areas marked on RED on map a. Chain Link Mesh to be 9GA 96" b. Top, Middle and Bottom rail to be 1-5/8" c. Line posts to be 2-7/8" set in concrete footing. Footing dimensions to be min 12" wide min 36" deep. Footing height to be set to accommodate 4" of loam to tie into existing grade d. Terminal, Corner and Gate posts to be 3-1/2" set in concrete footing. Footing dimensions to be min 18" wide and min 36" deep. Footing height to be set to accommodate 4" of loam to tie into existing grade 7. Install 216LF of 4' Black PVC coated chain link fence. See areas marked in YELLOW on map a. Chain Link mesh to be 9GA 48" b. Top, Middle and Bottom rail to be 1-5/8" c. Line posts to be 2-3/8" set in concrete footing. Footing dimensions to be min 12" wide min 36" deep. Footing height to be set to accommodate 4" of loam to tie into existing grade d. Terminal, Corner and Gate posts to be 2-7/8" set in concrete footing. Footing dimensions to be min 18" wide and min 36" deep. Footing height to be set to accommodate 4" of loam to tie into existing grade 8. Install the following gates marked in BLUE on map a. (1) Double Drive 4' high by 14' wide {opening) gate to accommodatevehicle entrance. Gate to include center drop rod, center latch and post mounted hinges b. (2) 4' high by 4' wide walk gates to accommodate bothrecess entrances. Gates to include post mounted hinges and one latch per gate. o All excavation/demolition activity shall be protected within the limit of disturbance using 6' high chain link fence temporarily installed and secured daily during the extent of the project. All equipment, tools, materials, and any stockpiled items must always be stored within the limit of disturbance. o Construction activity shall be performed in a safe, harmless manner, not to affect flow of traffic, safety of all students and faculty, and not to disturb or interfere with safety protocol typically practiced by school facility, fire dept, police dept, and any other safety or rescue personnel. Work may be performed between the hours of 7:00 am and 9:00 pm, Monday thru Saturday. Work at other times may be approved by the owner at their discretion. o No deliveries of equipment and materials shall be executed during student drop-off (7:30 - 8:30 am) and pick up (1 :30 - 2:30 pm). o All excavation work is to be performed by operators with a valid Massachusetts hoisting license. o All employees on site must have completed at least the OSHA 1 O Safety Training Course. o Hardhats and any other PPE to be always worn by construction team and visiting personnel. o All materials removed from site under this scope of work, including metal, wood, organic matter and other debris generated by demolition activities are to be owned by the contractor, regardless of value. o Contractor to supply their own water and power o Contractor to supply temporary sanitation facilities to accommodate number of staff on site Question Deadline 11/07/2025 All questions must be referred in writing to Jerry Kucera via e-mail at kucerajs@worcesterma.gov All questions and requests for clarifications or interpretations of the meaning of the Contract Documents shall be in writing, addressed to the Purchasing Department, City of Worcester, and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for opening of bids.
