The project involves the replacement of the roof and rooftop units at DYS Paul T. Leahy, 363 Belmont St, Worcester, MA 01604, under MA State Project No. DYS2550I FT1. Sealed bids are invited in accordance with the associated contract documents. Bidding procedures and contract award will follow the provisions of M.G.L. c. 149, as amended. The project in general consists of removal of the existing membrane roofing system assembly to the existing reinforced precast concrete roof decking and the replacement with new TPO roofing system including fully adhered vapor barrier, roof insulation, protection board and fully adhered membrane system, removal and replacement of all rooftop HVAC Mechanical units and make-up air units with new roof curbs, existing roof hatch shall remain and be raised as required. Work shall also include the removal and replacement of eight roof Mechanical exhaust fans and the modification of existing parapet wall assembly and installation of overflow scupper and downspout assemblies. The work will include the extension of the existing exterior surface mounted gas service lines. All fire alarm work must be coordinated with DYS’s Fire-Alarm / Protection Service Vendor and the GC and electrical contractor. Installation including all electrical, plumbing and ductwork connections of owner’s equipment as indicated on drawings shall be included in the base bid. The existing equipment is on site. All work shall be performed within a secure area of the existing building.
