Renovation of a municipal facility in Truro, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 23,945-square-foot municipal facility.
RFQ for New Public Works Facility - Contractors and Subcontractors. The proposed New Department of Public Works Building will be located in Truro, MA at 17 Town Hall Road. A new public works building is being proposed to provide a modern facility and to replace the existing facility, which has been in use for decades. The proposed building is approximately 11,145 square feet, with an additional 12,800 square feet for an attached garage. The estimated construction cost is approximately $27 million.. The plans and specifications will be available in early February 2026 and bids will be due by the end of March 2026. Town meeting funding will be requested at the May 2026 town meeting. It is anticipated that construction on site will begin in June 2026 with construction projected to be completed by August 2028. Masonry; Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron; Waterproofing, Damp proofing and Caulking; Metal Windows; Glass and Glazing; Tile; Acoustical Tile; Resilient Floors; Painting; Fire Protection; Plumbing; HVAC; and Electrical. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
