The City of Leominster is proposing the rehabilitation of Barrett Park Pond Dam (Project) at 40 Barrett Park Drive, Leominster, MA. The Project includes repairs necessary to maintain the dam, which include the replacement of the existing box culvert spillway to increase flood discharge capacity, the replacement of the low-level outlet pipe and inwater control structure, the removal of trees on the downstream slope of the embankment which are unfavorable from a dam-safety perspective, regrading and stabilizing portions of the embankment and areas downstream of the embankment toe, replacing deteriorated and collapsed masonry walls with riprap areas, and the re-establishment of an existing recreational gravel walking path compliant with ADA requirements.
