No definite date for the rebid.** Walker County, Georgia is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide 500 miles of centerline mowing, trimming, weed and litter control services along county-maintained roads and right-of-ways. Proposals will be received at the office of Joe Legge, Walker County Government, 101 S Duke St., LaFayette, GA 30728 until 12:00 p.m. local time on December 1, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud at said location. Question Deadline 11/13/2025 at 9:00 AM ET Inquiries regarding this project and the bidding/proposal process should be sent by email to: b.snider@walkerga.us PROJECT SCOPE: The selected contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, fuel, materials, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. 500 Miles Centerline Mowing o Mow a minimum width of 15 feet from edge of road and 20 feet in areas wide enough on both sides of designated county roads. o Maintain a uniform cut between four to seven inches in height. o Mowing shall occur four times a year. 2. Trimming o Trim around signs, guardrails, culverts, fences, and other obstacles located within the right-of-way. o Ensure no vegetation obstructs visibility of traffic control signs or drainage structures. 3. Litter Control o Remove and properly dispose of all litter and debris (including tires, paper, cans, bottles, and similar materials) from right-of-ways before and after mowing. o Maintain litter-free conditions throughout the contract period. 4. Work Areas o Services shall be provided along designated county-maintained roads and right-of-ways as identified by the Walker County Roads Department.
