Bids are invited for a General Contract for the work of the project known as the Region 2 New Fentress County Maintenance Building, located in Jamestown, Fentress County, Tennessee. Prospective contractors are to examine the project documents at the Designer's office or designated Plan Rooms and may obtain documents from the Designer as instructed. Bidders bidding $25,000 or more must hold appropriate state licenses. Five percent (5%) Bid Security may be required. A Non-Discrimination policy applies. Plan deposit is $1,000.00. Additional instructions include specific requirements about bid submission: bids sent by mail or express mail must be received before the designated time, and drop off or courier service bids are accepted only within the specified timeframe. The location and procedures for bid submission and opening are described, and bidders are advised not to drop off bids at any other date or time. Details about the Designer and Plan Rooms are provided. A pre-bid conference will be held at the project location, and contractors are asked to contact the Designer for any special procedures related to this conference. BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Scope is to build a new maintenance building onsite of the Fentress County TDOT location. The new maintenance building is to be a 40' x 80' Pre-Engineered Metal Building. The proposed location is between an existing garage and existing storage shed. The existing garage is a 40' x 60' structure. The existing shed is a 20' x 100' structure. Both will be demolished as part of the project. WORK BY OWNER THROUGH OTHER CONTRACTS A. General: Cooperate fully with separate contractors so work on those contracts may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under this Contract. Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed under separate contracts. B. Future Work: Owner will award separate contract(s) for the following additional work to be performed at site after Substantial Completion. Completion of that work will depend on successful completion of preparatory work under this Contract.
