Remodeling of a restaurant in Merced, California. Conceptual plans call for the remodel of a 3,788-square-foot, one-story above grade restaurant.
The project will create a new kitchen on campus from an existing cold shell in a 3,788 square foot space. The new kitchen will include a front of house space for full-service dining, a back of house space with walk-in fridges and freezers, other kitchen equipment, and storage spaces. The Executive Architect must collaborate with the University's food service consultant on design, which will require electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and fire prevention design. Relevant qualifications include proven experience in designing commercial kitchens or dining halls, a history of meeting project budgets and schedules, and ability to provide effective and experienced support. Bidders are required to have an active State of California architect's license for a minimum of five years and demonstrate experience in commercial kitchen design in public or private buildings, and higher education campuses, with timely response and technically skilled staff with excellent communication and organizational skills.
