Description

The work includes the cleaning and televising of approximately 26,500 feet of 8 and 10 inch gravity sanitary sewer. Bids must be prepared and filed in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and may be rejected if not compliant. The successful bidder must furnish a construction performance bond and a construction payment bond to the Owner, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract award. Bid security, in the form of a bid bond of ten percent (10%) of the bidder's maximum price or a cashier's or certified check for five percent (5%), must accompany each bid. Bid security will be retained as liquidated damages if the successful bidder refuses or fails to enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of Award or fails to furnish the required bonds when executing the contract. Bids may not be withdrawn after the opening deadline. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities therein. Payment for work will be made in cash based on monthly estimates.
