The purpose of this bid package is to provide the County of Ocean with a Contractor who will supply the goods or services described and specified herein. A. Description Snow fence shall consist of wood slats woven together with four (4) double strands of galvanized wire. B. Pickets The pickets shall be of poplar or aspen and No. 1 lath shall be used. 1. 1 1/2 " Wide x 3/8 " Thick x 48" Long. Woven with four (4) double strands of galvanized wire, spaced approximately 2 1/4 " between lath. 2. Pickets shall be unpainted. C. Delivery The fencing shall be furnished in 50 ft. rolls. Delivery to be made as requested by the County of Ocean. D. Price Since it is impossible to estimate the quantities required, bidders shall agree that minimum quantities may be increased as needed and are requested to submit UNIT PRICE exclusive of all taxes, for the furnishing and delivery of UNPAINTED SNOW FENCE for use in beach erosion work and snow control in various sections of Ocean County. American Beachgrass (Dune Grass), Ammophila Breviligulata, certified "CAPE" plants. Two (2) stem minimum. Dune grass will be purchased in increments of 1,000. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and P.L. 1975 C. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.) regarding equal employment opportunities and with the requirements of P.L. 1977 C.33 regarding corporate and/or partnership ownership.
