Post Office Square is an existing 0.76-acre community green space in Downtown North that the City will redesign and enhance into a resilient, multi-use public space. The project will improve the site to better reflect community priorities, support local businesses, and advance the goals of Plan Bridgeport related to sustainability, equity, and connectivity. The redesigned Post Office Square will integrate nature-based design strategies, including green infrastructure and climate resilience measures, while accommodating mixed community uses such as recreation, cultural programming, and small business opportunities. This project is intended to serve as a model for the redesign and activation of underutilized urban parcels throughout Bridgeport.
