The objective of the program is to reduce the vulnerability of certain buildings to flooding and sewer backups by conducting detailed inspections, comprehensive vulnerability analyses, detailed estimates of work to be performed, and compliance inspections during or after the work. The firm sought by the City must have extensive experience in inspecting, analyzing and diagnosing the risk of flooding in buildings due to submersion or sewer backups. It must be familiar with the provisions of the Quebec Construction Code applicable to this project, particularly plumbing, as well as best practices in flood and sewer backup protection. In addition, the firm must use modern work tools that allow for the entry of digital data in the field and the creation of secure online databases accessible to designated representatives of the City.
