Sealed bids are requested for gravel and crushed stone. Vendors are to submit one original signed document and two copies in a sealed envelope labeled with the company name, address, the bid subject, and ITB number. Any deviation from the labeling requirements will result in the bid not being considered. Bids must be submitted by the provided deadline and are legal and binding upon submission. The contract is for the convenience of the county and does not preclude the county from sourcing similar goods elsewhere with approval. Materials are to be in compliance with specifications by the State Highway Engineer and produced in accordance with Georgia law under the Department of Transportation and Whitfield County supervision. The county reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and alter unit items as needed. Vendors must verify compliance with O.C.G.A 13-10-91 regarding federal work authorization and submit a certificate of insurance with specific coverage types and limits, naming the county as certificate holder with a thirty-day cancellation notice. Only bids submitted on the official county form will be considered. Prices quoted must remain in effect until the specified end date.
