The University of Oregon (Owner), is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms (Consultant) to perform commissioning services for the Child Behavioral Health Building (CBHB) (the "Project") at the University of Oregon campus in Portland, Oregon. The Project site encompasses the property directly to the south of Rosa Parks Way and to the west of 30th Avenue This project will meet or exceed the goals set forth in the UO Model for Sustainable Development (OMSD), certify at a LEED Gold level, incorporate BIM design process and support equipment data transfer into the UO's asset management system. The UO Portland Child Behavioral Health Building Project will house the Ballmer Institute and the Prevention Science Institute, advancing the university's vision for Oregon to lead in supporting child behavioral health. The new Child Behavioral Health Building will facilitate collaboration to accelerate discovery and reach across schools and communities to address the national crisis in child behavioral health. Shared spaces between the Ballmer Institute and Prevention Science Institute will not only stimulate novel research into the most effective interventions and strategies to support child behavioral health but also give Ballmer Institute students the opportunity to work directly with scholars across both institutes to learn how evidence-based interventions are developed, tested, and implemented in real world settings. Overall, the building will serve as an innovation hub for training and research in child behavioral health and a welcoming space for children, families, and members of the community to receive services and learn new strategies to support wellness in their children through community outreach and educational offerings. The Child Behavioral Health Building is envisioned to be approximately 54,000 gross square feet in size. Sitework improvements will be addressed with the goal of creating high quality open-space improving critical pedestrian linkages and sightlines through campus that are currently obstructed by old facilities. UO reserves the right to terminate the Project or the agreement after completion of any phase in the Project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
