Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lagrange, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,400-square-foot educational facility.

This notice is hereby given that the Lakeland School Corporation in LaGrange, Indiana is requesting sealed bids from interested firms, for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation necessary for the renovation of an existing Shop Classroom and Workshop Space located at the south end of the Lakeland Intermediate School. The space will be renovated into a Learn to Work Program for High School aged students from all school districts in LaGrange County. The overall renovation is ~ 3400 SF and will be equipped with Electrical Training Equipment. The program will begin at the start of the 2026 School Year August 13th , 2026 and construction must be complete (3) weeks prior to the start of school (July 23 rd , 2026). All work shall be in accordance with plans, specifications, and intent prepared by Faber Design Co. and Design Collaborative. A one hundred percent (100%) labor and materials performance bond will be required of the successful bidder. A five percent (5%) bid security in the form of an acceptable bid bond or certified check shall be submitted with all bids. Bonds shall be payable to the Lakeland School Corporation. Each bidder will be required to comply with all applicable equal employment opportunity laws and regulations of the United States of America and the State of Indiana. All bids shall be executed on the bid form which is included in the specification manual. Additional bidding requirements are contained in the Project Manual. It is the intention of these Specifications and the drawings to coordinate and produce a complete and useable building. Any items not specifically mentioned but required to achieve same shall be included. See other sections in this manual for additional descriptions of the work. B. Many of the items indicated in the plans and specifications are general in nature to describe the scope of the work performed. It is the responsibility of The Contractors to supply all incidental material items and labor required to provide a complete, properly functioning installation of each component and/or system of the work described. Interpretation or explanation of Contract Documents will not be made by the Owner. All such inquiries shall be made to the Architects office. B. Bidders shall promptly notify the architect of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error which they may discover upon examination of the Bidding Documents or of site and local conditions. C. No oral, telephone or telegraphic instruction for information shall be binding on the Owner, Architect, or Bidder unless confirmed by Addendum.
