Phase I engineering services are required to provide underwater diving inspection services for investigating bridge substructure units and other structures in the water. The Consultant's work shall include furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for: Visual and tactile inspection of 100 percent of the underwater portions of the substructure units (level 1), Providing measurements of pitting and damage not to exceed 10 percent of each substructure unit, Providing measurements of scour, water depth around piers, and cross sections of the streambed, and Providing complete reports with topside photographs, diagrams and underwater photographs necessary to adequately describe conditions and deficiencies found at the water surface and below The completion date for this contract will be 60 months after authorization to proceed.
