Site work for a water / sewer project in Laurel, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work generally consists of installing approximately 1,300 feet of new PVC water main to replace the existing transite water main along 8th Street in the Town of Laurel. The existing transite water main is to be abandoned in place with portions of the transite main to be removed as necessary to facilitate the connection of the new water main to the Town's existing water system. Included within this work are new water services, valves, hydrants, bituminous milling and paving, and other related tasks. The contractor is responsible for obtaining and abiding by all permits, regulations, and approvals (State and/or Federal) for the safe handling and disposal of all transite pipe. All work must conform to the Project Manual and the Town of Laurel's Standard Specifications and Details for Public Works Construction available on the Town website. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is mandatory for bidders on this project. Minority Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond. Written questions (email: jhoageson@gmbnet.com) will be accepted and answered via Addenda and must be submitted to the Engineer by 12:00 p.m. (Local Time) on November 19, 2025. Questions shall include the project name (Re: Phase 4 Transite Water Main Replacement) in the subject heading.
