Site work for a development in West Orange, New Jersey. Working plans call for site work for a one-story above grade development.

**As of January 7, 2026, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** 2026 Tree Planting at Various Locations in the Township of West Orange, County of Essex. All work in this bid shall be completed within 60 calendar days after the date of "Notice to Proceed" in accordance with the contract. The Township reserves the right to suspend the planting period during the months of December, January, February and March. Bidders are required to submit bids in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder, the name of the job, and the time and date designated for receipt of bids. Bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and Certified Check or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, provided said check need not be more than $20,000.00 nor less than $500.00, and must be delivered to the designated address by the specified deadline. Standard Proposal Form and Non-Collusion Affidavit are attached to the specification and bid documents, and copies may be obtained from the Purchasing Agent. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any Bid Defect where such effect is not determined to be in the best interest of the Township of West Orange and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase quantities specified in the manner designated in the contract documents. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered by the New Jersey Department of Labor at the time bids are received, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Effective September 1, 2004, they must also be registered by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, in accordance with the Business Registration Act. Certificates must be provided with the bid. Bidders are also required to comply with Affirmative Action requirements, Prevailing Wages, and Disclosure Statement obligations. If awarded a contract, compliance with these requirements must be maintained. No interpretation of the meaning of the Contract Drawings, Specifications or other Contract Documents made to any bidder orally are binding in any way. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to the Purchasing Agent, at the address included in the advertisement and to be given consideration must be received no later than ten (10) days (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted) prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instruction will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications which, if issued, will be mailed by registered or certified mail, by certified facsimile transmission or by certified The Contractor shall furnish all of the materials, labor, equipment, services, tools, and items of every kind and nature required for implied by, or appurtenant in any way, to provide a complete functioning Project as described in the Specifications for the Project in accordance with the requirements and provisions of the following documents which are hereby made a part or the Agreement: 1. Documents prepared or furnished by the Township Forester 2. Specification documents including: A. Notice to Bidders B. Instructions to Bidders C. General Instructions and Conditions D. Special Provisions E. Standard Specifications F. Supplementary Specifications for State Aid Projects G. Proposal and Supplemental Forms & Requirements H. Appendix 3. All addendums which may be issued. 4. Special Instructions and modifications issued by the Forester during planting. 5. All other Contract documents included herein and made a part thereof
