Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Loxley, Alabama. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
The project involves the design and engineering of a site-built, stand-alone, dual-purpose FEMA 361 and ICC-500 (200 mph rated) 1st Responder Hurricane Safe Room in Loxley, Alabama. The safe room will be designed and constructed to meet the latest versions of FEMA Publication 361 and ICC-500 hurricane safe room criteria, with the ability to withstand 200 mph winds. Services may include, but are not limited to, preparing architectural reports, planning, design, engineering, cost estimating, bidding, contracting, construction oversight, quality control, and project closeout. Firms will be considered based on a Statement of Qualifications submitted in response to this request, limited to seven pages in 12-point Times New Roman or Arial font. Three sealed copies must be simply and economically prepared and submitted by the deadline. Any questions related to the request should be submitted in writing along with the proposal.
