A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids are requested for the General Contract: South Bound Brook Police Department Building, and all work incidental thereto, including but not limited to the Police Department Building and as required in accordance with the Project Manual. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and labeled accordingly. Bids may be delivered by mail, messenger, courier, overnight service, or by hand. The Owner may reject all bids or any non-responsive or non-responsible bids. Bid documents must be obtained directly from the Architect's office and bidders are responsible for obtaining revisions or addenda. Bids must be accompanied by a guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid, not in excess of $20,000, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, along with consent of surety. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond. Bidders must be authorized to do business in New Jersey. Any corporation not chartered under the laws of New Jersey must submit an affidavit certifying authorization to do business in the state. Bidders must be registered with the Department of Labor and comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with New Jersey Business Registration requirements, disclosure of prohibited investment activities, non-discrimination and affirmative actions, and statement of corporate ownership. All records related to products, transactions, or services under this contract must be maintained for five years and be made available upon request to the relevant oversight offices. Payroll certification for public work projects must be completed online and agencies must also receive hard copies of certified payroll from contractors and subcontractors.
