Renovation of an educational facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the Bayside High School Fire Alarm System Replacement. The contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis and includes all work as defined in the contract documents. Bids must be submitted using the e-bidding feature through demandstar.com. A bidder's bond or certified check in the amount of not less than five percent of the base bid is required, and the bid bond must be executed on AIA Document A310 or an equivalent form for a period of not less than 60 days after the bid opening date. The School Board reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all bids. Only responsive bids from the lowest responsible bidder will be accepted unless the bid exceeds available funds, in which case negotiation with the apparent low bidder may occur. Bidders must comply with Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration. Bid documents can be viewed at several locations or downloaded online at no cost after registering with a valid email address. Bidders are directed to a non-mandatory pre-bid conference at the project site and must sign in and obtain a visitor pass prior to any site review. Additional pre-bid access to the site is by appointment. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
