Demolition for a municipal facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
Demolition of Structure at 1340 Virginia Beach Blvd. Quotations will be received electronically through the ERP System Supplier (Vendor) Portal, email, or in person at the Purchasing Division office. This solicitation is open only to SWaM certified small businesses through the Commonwealth of Virginia. Bidders with SWaM certification will be considered for award first. If two or more bids are received from SWaM certified bidders, bids from non-SWaM certified bidders will not be considered. If fewer than two responsible bids are received from SWaM certified bidders, bids from all bidders will be reviewed for award. Bidders who intend to subcontract work on the resulting project must commit at least 50% of the subcontracted work to SWaM-certified businesses; if unable to meet this requirement, documentation of good faith efforts to do so must be provided. The City of Virginia Beach does not discriminate against faith-based organizations. The Virginia Beach City Council has adopted a 12% goal for minority participation in city contracts.
