Renovation of a development in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 11,730-square-foot, one-story above grade development.
The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture is soliciting responses from qualified general contractors for renovations to the Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences Altheimer Greenhouse located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Interested parties are invited to secure a Request for Qualifications package from the UADA Office of Procurement. Responses must be submitted in accordance with the instructions in the RFQ package. The Altheimer Greenhouse Complex is comprised of five (5) 23'x 90'greenhouses, a connecting corridor providing access to all greenhouses, a vestibule, and a head house. The Altheimer Greenhouse Complex is approximately 16,000 square feet. The renovation project square footage is approximately 11,730 square feet. The project scope is limited to the greenhouses, the connecting corridor, and the perimeter. The scope will include perimeter earthwork, greenhouse frame repairs, complete replacement of polycarbonate panels, new doors and hardware, insect screens, new end-wall and exhaust fans, new louvers, horizontal air flow fans, vertical air flow fans, new lighting, new concrete flooring with drainage, and a control system to monitor and regulate temperature and humidity. (Note: The facility recently received a significant electrical upgrade.)
