Upper Hammonds Plains Water System Upgrades. Scope of works includes: 1. Upgrades to the existing booster station at 719 Pockwock Rd. to accommodate fire flows as per the current Halifax Water Design Sepcs. 2. Upgrade the existing 150mm watermain (relace the existing trench) from 719 to 1246 Pockwock Road, Anderson Road (approx. 2.5 km) and Anderson Court (approx. 1.2 km). The upgrade will include the placement of additional hydrants. 3. Review of the existing 200mm diameter watermain from 377 Pockwock Road to 719 Pockwock Road to determine if upgrade is needed. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals from engineering consultants for design services is underway. Tender and construction is expected to be completed by December 31, 2027. *Budget is unreleased.
